Alfred is an awkward fairy child who can't seem to fit in among the creatures of Fairyland. But when he's left behind in the human world, Alfred gets a chance to prove his worth and find a home at last. THE CHANGELING is a new musical that expresses the importance of family, love and acceptance.

Book, and lyrics by MARK LOEWENSTERN, music and lyrics by JOHN GREGOR, directed by CARRIE LIBLING, choreographed by MARCO JO CLATE, sets by ROBERTO SANCHEZ-CAMUS; costumes by JENNA ROSSI-CAMUS and stage management by ANNALUISA FRANCO. Featured in the cast are EVE REINHARDT, LORI MCNALLY, BREANNA PINE, DIANNA DIPALMA, CHRIS TOTARO, DANTE RUSSO and MARCO JO CLATE.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY'S fourth production is THE FALCON'S MAGIC FEATHER. After her evil sisters play a trick on her, Euphoria sets out to prove her love to Philo the Falcon by rescuing him from the evil Princess. Based on a Russian folktale, this enchanting new musical is an uplifting story of courage and friendship. Book, music and lyrics by JONATHAN LUKS, directed by DONOVAN DOLAN, THE FALCON'S MAGIC FEATHER performs Saturdays and Sundays February 21st through March 28th.

This final show of the season is THE TEMPEST. Prospero, the Duke of Naples, has been banished by the King of Naples to an enchanted island where for 12 years he has raised his daughter Miranda. When the King's son Ferdinand washes ashore after a storm, Miranda enters a new world full of love and forgiveness. Inspired by the prose version of Shakespeare's play that was written for children in the early 19th century by scholars Charles and Mary Lamb, this new musical puts Shakespeare in terms that children can understand, appreciate and enjoy. Book by DOUG DEVITA, directed by CARRIE LIBLING, THE TEMPEST performs Saturdays and Sundays from April 3rd through May 9th.

VITAL CHILDREN'S THEATRE COMPANY has received high acclaim from audiences and critics alike for being "a wonderful place for parents to introduce their kids to the glories of live theatre, done well and at modest prices." Now in its fifth year, the company is dedicated to producing entertaining and educational theatre for young audiences. To date, the company has presented 23 original productions for children and families.
